Pitting Maryland's Heavy Seas against Pennsylvania's Sly Fox in the opening round, we find two fan favorites battling to advance in Odessa Brewbracket.

Embracing their swagger, Heavy Seas brews 20 different beer styles annually. Always experimenting, Heavy Seas Beer makes a plethora of cask-conditioned ales and barrel-aged rarities, in additional to their expansive portfolio of award winning beers. But Sly Fox isn't far behind. Sly Fox is considered to be one of the premier craft brewers in the Mid-Atlantic region. In 2007, Sly Fox's Pikeland Pilsner won a Gold Medal at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver (the first time a GABF medal of any sort was awarded to a canned craft beer).

Who should advance? It's your call.

Both breweries have a healthy selection of craft beers, ranging from pilsners to pale ales.
