Maryland Beer Co.

The Maryland Beer Company was formed by Scott McCardell and Jessica Alexander in August 2015. After 3 long years of planning, we have finally accomplished our vision of our brewery. With the help of some family we have been able to say that our dreams have come true. Located just 5 miles from Delaware and 8 miles from Pennsylvania, we choose to stay in Maryland, our home. The building we are located in used to house printing presses for the local newspaper, which has since left for Easton, MD. Currently we have a 5 barrel brew house with two 5 barrel unitanks and two 10 barrel unitanks, we also have a 1 barrel brew house that gives us the opportunity to experiment with brews before going larger.

We plan to open with 8 beers on tap and then expand to 16 taps in total. Our plan is to move up to a 20 barrel system in the next 2 years for local distribution. We hope to source as many local ingredients as possible making our beers Made in Maryland!
