2016: Evolution vs Yards

A true beer connoisseur has interests that go beyond the malted beverage in their hand. Thus, the Odessa Brewfest is about more than just great beer—it's also about excellent food from the people behind Cantwell's Tavern. Part of the pleasure of beer is enjoying a good brew with a good meal. 

Evolution (Salisbury, MD) and Yards (Philadelphia) are two breweries that understand this. Both list food pairings with their beers. Evolution, for instance, recommeds enjoying Lot #6 Double IPA with Thai, Mexican and other spicy food. The Delmarva Pure Pils goes well with crabs and seafood generally.

Yards says their Brawler ale "brings out flavors in margherita pizza and slow cooked BBQ." The Tavern porter, on the other hand, goes well with "rich and roasty" foods. 

So be sure to bring your appetite to the Odessa Brewfest on Sept. 10. And go ahead and vote for your favorite of these fine regional breweries.
