2021: Crooked Hammock vs Volunteer
The local Delaware breweries Crooked Hammock of Lewes and Volunteer Brewing of Middletown are the final pairing in the first round of the 2021 #OdessaBrewbracket. Who will win: Crooked Hammock or Volunteer?
Crooked Hammock
In 2015, owner Rich Garrahan ditched his suit and tie to open a brewery at the beach. Some years, and many beers later, their backyard has been an escape for millions of people in search for easy-drinking craft brews, a family friendly environment, and backyard-inspired food. Shark Party, a tart, bold beer dripping with complexity, is Crooked Hammock's latest can release.
Volunteer
Volunteer Brewing Co. opened its doors in August of 2017, becoming the first brewery in Middletown, Delaware. The brewery was named “Volunteer” as a reflection of their commitment to the local community, in addition to serving craft brewed beers that is. Customers and staff are focused on volunteer opportunities that maintain the small community feel that is core to Middletown’s history.
