Where is the Odessa Brewfest held?
The Festival is held on the grounds of the Historic Odessa Foundation, 201 Main St, Odessa, Delaware. We are situated 23 miles south of Wilmington just east of Route 13 and 24 miles north of Dover. Click to our directions page for a map.
What do I get with my ticket?
Ticket holders will get a cup for 2 oz. samples of beer from local and regional brewers and great live music from four bands on two stages. Attendees have unlimited sampling privileges for the duration of the event. VIP ticketholders get glass VIP tasting mug along with early admission. For more information see the Tickets page.
What if I lose my tasting mug?
You will need to contact a staff member to purchase a new cup.
If I purchase VIP tickets, do I still have access for the general admission until 5pm?
VIP tickets allow continuous admission from 12pm to 5pm.
Will there be food available?
Cantwell’s Tavern and the Roaming Raven will be on hand with a wide variety of food available for purchase. There will be also be ice cream, other food for purchase and merchandise for sale.
What if I'm not a beer drinker?
In addition to the great food and entertainment, Delaware winery, Harvest Ridge, will be serving a variety of vintages, while liquor will be available from craft distillery Stateside Vodka. There will also be a cash bar.
What if I'm the designated driver?
There are special DD tickets available at the door for only $15. Designated driver tickets include complementary water and soda.
Is water provided?
Yes, throughout the festival grounds there are several water bottle and ice stations for your convenience.
Does my ticket allow for re-entry into the venue?
Both VIP and GA ticket holders are allowed to leave the venue and re-enter as long as they still have their wristbands visible and clear of tampering. No alcohol is allowed to leave the festival grounds.
Will there be a 'Will Call' window for tickets purchased through Historic Odessa Foundation?
Yes, if you purchased tickets through the HOF office (not Ticketleap), a Will Call area will be available at the event check in.
Are there restrooms available to visitors?
Yes, there are several indoor and outdoor restroom options. Each location will be clearly marked on the map.
Will seating be provided?
Folding chairs will be available in the food tent and benches and lounge chairs are also open to seating in the gardens. Seating is first come, first served. Feel gree to bring your own folding chairs with you onto the grounds; however, you will need to keep them with you at all times.
Can I bring my kids and dog?
Persons under 21 years of age are not permitted. Pets will not be permitted either. For registered service animals, you will need to present the service certificate at the gate.
What if it rains?
The Odessa Brewfest is a rain or shine event.
What is the parking situation?
Parking is available on Main Street and in several small lots surrounding the festival grounds. Close venue parking fills quickly, so be prepared to walk a block or two.
Who does the Odessa Brewfest benefit?
The Odessa Brewfest is a fund-raising event for the Historic Odessa Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure the legacy of the Historic Houses of Odessa for future generations, through commitment to the preservation of Odessa’s unique historic, architectural, and cultural heritage.
How do I volunteer for the Odessa Brewfest? Brewfest Volunteer Positions are Full.
We are no longer taking applications for volunteers. All volunteer positions are full.
You can sign up to be a volunteer by filling our online form, or by calling Cantwells Tavern 302-376-0600 x1. Please provide your shirt size and phone number. Each volunteer will receive a free t-shirt, food, a tasting mug and are able to drink beer while working. The volunteer is responsible for pouring beer, getting ice, and the general cleaning of the area.
