The second round of the Odessa Brewbracket has closed, with a selection of winners that have proven to be fan favorites by popular vote. With your passionate votes, below are the breweries that won your favor! In a surprising turn of events, only two out of three past champs have made it to the next round of the 2017 #OdessaBrewbracket.
1. Twin Lakes
Twin Lakes won by exactly 25 votes against Heavy Seas, showing that their passion for Fresh-Local-Delicious beer hasn't failed yet.
2. Evolution
Evolution's small batch, creative beers won against Flying Fish by 18 votes, in a slow but steady victory.
3. Bell's
Bell's Brewery inched to the Brewbracket's second round with 8 votes over Sixpoint, making it clear that Bell's oats-inspired twist on classic ingredients is a fan-favorite winner. This is the first year Bell's has made it into the bracket, and they aren't taking that lightly.
4. Yards
Yards gained a 34 point lead over Weyerbacher in a heated matchup, earning a spot in the Elite 8 as a brewery that focuses on artisanal brewing practices inspired by olden British times.
5. DuClaw
Maryland was split in a battle of beers and logos during this round with two state favorites competing for a spot in the Elite 8. But in the end, DuClaw won against RaR with 133 votes against RaR's 95 votes.
6. 2SP
2SP proved that unpretentious beer can be a winner, where simplicity is key at gaining votes and knocking out previous #OdessaBrewbracket champ, 3rd Wave. 2SP won with a 34 vote lead against 3rd Wave.
7. Mispillion River
Mispillion River, the 2015 #OdessaBrewbracket winner, had a 30 vote lead against Victory. Initially trailing behind, Mispillion River regained its status as a champion because of your fan favorite votes!
8. Blue Earl
Winner of the 2016 #OdessaBrewbracket, Blue Earl again proved its popularity by maintaining a staggering 94 vote lead against Dogfish Head. It looks like they have their eye on the prize!
