Fine Smokes and Spirits at the Brewfest
Joining the dozens of craft breweries, live music, excellent food and cool merchandise at the Odessa Brewfest on Sept. 12 will be Guy and Lady Barrel Cigars and Painted Stave Distilling.
Guy and Lady Barrel offers premium cigars from the Dominican Republic, aged in American white oak barrels and hand-rolled. Their latest, game-changing product is a line of alcohol-infused cigars made with bourbon, whiskey, spiced rum, brandy and scotch. Be sure to visit their table and sample the experience.
Painted Stave Distilling handcrafts fine spirits in small batches from a converted movie theater in Smyrna, Del. Ingredients are sourced from regional farms to create signature products: Sliver Screen Vodka, Candy Manor Gin and Old Cooch's Corn Whiskey, as well as seasonal and experimental batches.
Painted Stave worked with Dogfish Head—a brewer featured at the Odessa Brewfest—to help create Delaware's first law allowing the opening of craft distilleries in the state. The law was passed in just six weeks, allowing a new phase of Delaware's artisan-beverage renaissance to begin. Come taste the results!
The Odessa Brewfest is a fundraiser for the nonprofit Historic Odessa Foundation, which maintains the homes and gardens of Odessa, Del. For more information and tickets, go to OdessaBrewfest.Com.
