2015: Sly Fox vs Victory
Come take a trip with us to Philadelphia's western suburbs, and appreciate the two breweries that have made such a huge mark on this little corner of the world.
Victory Brewing Company, headquartered in Downingtown, recently added its second brewpub in Kennett Square and between the two locations has had a huge impact on the communities it calls home. Victory brewed 125,713 barrels of beer in 2014, including the popular Hop Devil IPA, Prima Pils, Helles Lager and Golden Monkey Belgian-style trippel.
Equally significant is the impact made by the brewing wizards at Sly Fox, which operated a restaurant and brewery for many years in Phoenixville, and now calls Pottstown home. Sly Fox makes its helles lager in a unique pop-top can. Also sold in cans are excellent brews such as Phoenix Pale Ale, Rt. 113 IPA, Royal Weisse, and Grisette, a Belgian. (Why cans? "Because cans respoect the beer" claim the Sly Fox folks—protecting brews from UV rays, for instance.)
Cast your vote for one of these fine brews... and tell your friends about the Odessa Brewfest, coming Sept. 12!
