2015: Mid Atlantic Final: Yards vs Victory
Part three of the Odessa Brewfest brewbracket regional finals features two local favorites: Victory and Yards. Both have all the good-natured awesomeness you'd expect of craft brewers: friendly people, fun digs, busy in the community and just the right amount of quirky.
There's Yards' bee-friendly garden initiative, which has the brewer giving away thousands of free seed packets. Victory's headwaters initiative helps protect the Brandywine, along whose banks the brewery crafts its most excellent concoctions (using water from the creek).
Victory and Yards are also two of the Philadelphia area's best-known exports. Victory ships to 34 states and Washington, D.C., as well as a number of other countries. Yards ales are distributed throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware and Northern Virginia. The Yards ESA received a Good Food Award from Seedling Projects, a San Francisco initiative honoring environmentally and socially responsible food producers.
