Final 4 Breweries Advance to Semi-Finals
The Quarter-final Round of the Odessa Brewbracket has closed and the Final 4 have been chosen. With the biggest turn out of the competition so far, craft beer fans voted for their favorite breweries to advance to the Semi-finals for a chance to claim the title of Brewbracket Champion.
1. Yards
Yards defeated DuClaw by only 31 votes, making it the closest match in the Quarter-finals. It's an exciting turn for Yards who has made it to the Final 4 since 2014 where it lost to 3rd Wave. But with 3rd Wave out of the running, so maybe Yards will win this year.
2. Mispillion River
Mispillion River, the 2015 Brewbracket winner, crushed Bell's Brewery with a 145 vote lead. For Bell's first year in the bracket, they did fairly well, but they were no match for the popularity that Mispillion brings to the table.
3. 2SP
2SP battled against Evolution for their spot in the Final 4. 2SP kept their lead throughout the match despite Evolution's attempt to close the gap. 2SP made it to the Final 4 last year but lost; 2017 might be their Hail Mary but they'll have big challenge ahead of them as 2SP goes onto compete against the reigning champ, Blue Earl.
4. Blue Earl
Fans of both Blue Earl and Twin Lakes had an excellent turn out by casting a total of 762 votes in the Quarter-finals alone. Blue Earl and Twin Lakes fought in a back and forth match until the very last hours when Blue Earl pulled ahead with a 90 vote lead to come out on top. Blue Earl was the 2016 Brewbracket Champion, and it looks like they want to keep the title this year.
